Muchas gracias, hubiera puesto 6 estrellas si fuera posible!!!Īmazing experience with two expert, funny, and kind guides: Josè and Lady!!! Also, a long-sleeved fast-dry shirt and light-weight zip-out trousers for both day and night are much less hassle than drowning in sun cream, mozzie repellant and picking ticks off your skin! What else? DEET and more DEET! Hiking sticks/poles for me were essential and most people used them. People suggest dry socks for each day but no need - they'll be wet in minutes anyway. Swim in your shorts, they'll either dry or they won't but it's so warm you won't care. ![]() Use a dry bag or multiple bin liners to protect dry clothes/phone. ![]() Dry clothes for camp and soggy hiking clothes by day - embrace the mud/rain it won't kill you and is surprisingly liberating. Pack incredibly light, surprise yourself and leave the city behind. The four-day trek was fine in the end and I don't feel that we would've had a better experience over 5 days. However, I have never trekked in heat and humidity like this and the packed mud hills are relentless so just make sure you stay well-hydrated a camelback and/or a filter bottle is ideal. I am a mature (for that read 'old'!) hiker and consider myself to be relatively fit and experienced, having done several similar treks. Amazing experience with fab guides (Magic Tours), a great variety of fresh food and comfortable bunk beds with clean linen, pillows and fluffy blankets.
